2月22日,中国教育科学研究院比较教育研究所秦琳副所长一行、广州市教育研究院教育规划与政策研究所杜新秀所长在广州市教育局及黄埔区教育局的陪同下莅临广州爱莎科学城外籍人员子女学校(以下简称我校)视察调研,爱莎国际教育集团董事王君文、爱莎科学城学校校长Paul Bawden先生以及运营校长林钰等全程陪同。
On 22 February, Ms. Qin Lin, Deputy Director of the Institute of Comparative Education of the National Institute Of Educatioin Sciences, and Ms. Du Xinxiu, Director of the Institute of Educational Planning and Policy of the Guangzhou Institute of Educational Research, accompanied by the Guangzhou Municipal Education Bureau and Huangpu District Education Bureau, visited ISA Science City International School (ISASC), accompanied by Ms. Karen Wang, Director of ISA International Education Group, Mr. Paul Bawden, Head of School of ISASC, and Ms. Tina Lin, Head of Operations of ISASC.
2月22日,中国教育科学研究院比较教育研究所秦琳副所长一行、广州市教育研究院教育规划与政策研究所杜新秀所长在广州市教育局及黄埔区教育局的陪同下莅临广州爱莎科学城外籍人员子女学校(以下简称我校)视察调研,爱莎国际教育集团董事王君文、爱莎科学城学校校长Paul Bawden先生以及运营校长林钰等全程陪同。
The delegation took a closer look at the campus and learned about ISA Science City's "learner-centred" school design and architecture philosophy, which is based on the curriculum and the needs of students' growth, and was impressed by the fact that the international schools in the Greater Bay Area are already as good as those in Beijing and Shanghai, and have reached a level that is comparable to world-class international schools. In fact, ISA Science City has already been awarded the second place in the list of Hurun Education China International Schools Best School Campuses 2022, and is currently the only international school in China to have been awarded the WELL Gold v2 Environmental Health and Safety Standard.
考察团一行仔细参观了校园,了解了爱莎科学城“一切以学习者为中心”、从课程及学生成长需求出发的学校设计建筑理念,由衷感叹大湾区的国际学校建设水平已经不亚于北京、上海的国际学校,到达了可以比肩世界一流国际学校的水平。事实上,爱莎科学城学校2022年就已经获得了《胡润百学·中国国际学校美丽校园20强》的第二名,是目前国内唯一一家获得WELL环境健康与安全黄金级v2标准认证的国际学校。
After the visit, the delegation had a discussion with the school's Board of Directors and management team to understand the philosophy and situation of ISA International Education Group, and to discuss aspects such as "understanding international education" and "suggestions to enhance the opening of Guangzhou education to the outside world".
参观结束后,考察团一行与学校董事会及管理团队进行了座谈交流,了解爱莎国际教育集团的办学理念和办学情况,围绕“对国际教育的理解”以及“对提升广州教育对外开放水平的建议”等话题进行了交流和探讨。
Paul Bawden, Head of School of ISASC, introduced ISA's student-centred "International Education Ecosystem", which includes schools and programmes with different types of provision and progression directions, giving students ample opportunities to experiment and choose the most suitable pathway according to their strengths, providing students with a wide range of support programmes to explore their interests and achieve true whole-person development. Through the ISA Charity Fund, students are guided to care for others, to serve the community and to make a difference to society. ISA offers Parent Colleges and specialised training for parents to enable everyone in the ISA community to become lifelong learners.
爱莎科学城学校校长Paul Bawden介绍了爱莎以学生为中心构建的“国际教育生态体系”,其中包括了不同办学类型、不同升学方向的学校与项目,给学生充分的尝试机会和空间,根据自己的优势选择最适合的发展通道,为学生提供丰富的辅助课程,支持学生发掘自身兴趣、实现真正全人发展。另外爱莎也通过爱莎公益基金的平台,引导学生关爱他人、关爱社会、为社区服务、为社会带来改变。爱莎为家长提供的家长课堂和专题培训,让爱莎社区的每个人都成为终身学习者。
Karen Wang, Board member of ISA International Education Group, shared her understanding of international education and the development of ISA in Guangzhou. She believes that international education should not only be about "internationalisation of language", but also about diversification of assessment systems, interdisciplinary and project-based learning, and the development of internationally minded people who can adapt to future changes and are physically and mentally healthy and internally driven.
爱莎国际教育集团董事王君文分享了她对国际教育的理解以及爱莎在广州发展的感悟。她认为国际教育应该不仅是“语言的国际化”,更应该考虑通过评估体系的多元化、跨学科与项目制学习,培养能适应未来变化、身心健康且具有内驱力的国际视野人人才。
Ms. Wang said that under the forward-looking planning guidance of the Guangzhou Municipal Government and the Education Bureau, ISA has followed the footsteps and layout of Guangzhou's education opening up to the outside world. We will continue to invest in high quality in terms of education team, teaching resources, management model and facilities, and strive to explore and innovate to help build a higher standard and quality international education with "Guangzhou characteristics" in the Greater Bay Area.
王董表示,爱莎有幸成长在广州这片蕴含积极进取、开放包容基因的热土上,跟随广州教育对外开放的脚步和具有前瞻性的布局,以长远发展的毅力和锻造“百年名校”的决心,在教育团队、教学资源、管理模式和设施设备建设方面持续高品质投入,努力探索创新,助力粤港澳大湾区打造更高标准、高质量的国际教育“广州方案”。
Qin Lin, Deputy Director of the Institute of Comparative Education of the Chinese Academy of Education Sciences, said that the trip to Guangzhou was full of rewards. She was very impressed by the multicultural international education ecosystem that ISA has developed, which brings together more than 40 countries and regions. She believes that ISA can become a natural practice base for the implementation of the Greater Bay Area's education opening plan, and hopes to maintain long-term contact and close communication with ISA to discuss the improvement of Guangzhou's and the Greater Bay Area's education opening to the outside world.
中国教育科学研究院比较教育研究所秦琳副所长表示,此行在广州的调研收获满满。她对爱莎已经形成的汇聚40多个国家和地区的多元文化融合的国际教育生态系统影响非常深刻,相信爱莎能成为湾区教育对外开放规划实施的天然实践基地,希望能与爱莎在提升广州以及大湾区教育对外开放水平等方面加强沟通、共同探讨。
The Director of the Institute of Educational Planning and Policy of the Guangzhou Institute of Education, Du Xinxiu, has been following and studying the development of education for international understanding for many years and participated in the drafting of the 14th Five-Year Plan for the Opening of Guangzhou Education to the World. She learned that ISASC was awarded the "Collaborative Innovation Center for Education of International Understanding" upon its opening in 2020, and encouraged ISA Science City to play a leading and radiating role in leadership training for school administrators. Also by providing such things as professional development for teachers and the establishment of a talent training standard system with Chinese characteristics, and to promote quality educational resources, to promote the sharing of quality educational resources, to establish a two-way international platform for "bringing in" and "going out", to break through physical boundaries and to elevate the understanding of the core international education model area to a position of integrating and sharing resources and information.
广州市教育研究院教育规划与政策研究所杜新秀所长多年关注、研究国际理解教育的发展并参与起草《广州教育对外开放十四五规划》。她得悉科学城爱莎学校在2020年开办即被授予“国际理解教育协同创新中心”,她鼓励科学城爱莎学校要在学校管理者领导力培养、教师专业发展和建立具有中国特色的人才培养标准体系等方面发挥引领和辐射作用,促进优质教育资源优势共建,建立“引进来”和“走出去”的双向国际化平台,突破物理边界,将国际教育核心示范区的理解提升至资源与信息整合、共享的定位上来。
